Project BIOCEV is successfully integrating into the European Research Area
Project BIOCEV has officially joined one of the pan-European networks of research infrastructures and has thus started on its way towards successful integration into the European Research Area, fulfilling one of the essential prerequisites for establishment of a successful Centre of Excellence.

Legitimate zoning and planning decision
The municipality of Jesenice, building office, issued on December 29, 2009, the decision on the location of the building for the Biotechnology and Biomedicine Centre of the Academy of Sciences and Charles University, including connection to the engineering network and communications. The zoning and planning decision for construction of centre BIOCEV came into legal force on January 30, 2010.

Project BIOCEV is being prepared by the top research centres in the Czech Republic
The regular annual evaluation of the research centres performed within the project Scimago ranked the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and Charles University in Prague among the 250 best research centres in the world (out of total 2124 evaluated).

BIOCEV was promoted to further evaluation of the Project application
The project application for the Biotechnology and Biomedicine Centre AS CR and Charles University successfully fulfilled all acceptability criteria of the Ministry of Education CR for subsequent evaluation and was promoted to further evaluation.
